United Methodist Women

We invite other ladies to join us at our next meeting November 1, 2018.

ABOUT

The United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organization for the women of, but not limited to, the United Methodist Church.  Our group is a member of the Wyoming District of the Rocky Mountain Conference.

The Purpose

The organized unit of the United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Missions we've helped in the past include:

     Our Church

McCurdy School, NM ; Campbell's Soup labels, Tyson Foods A+ labels, and Boxtops for Education from various products.

The Boys & Girls Club in Rock Springs, WY.

Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen, Rock Springs, WY.

The Food Bank of Sweetwater County.

YWCA Safe House in Rock Springs, WY.

Wesley Foundation at the University of Wyoming.

We also help bereaved families by serving a meal following funeral services for a loved one.

UMW meetings are usually held on the first Thursday of the month during the months of September through May.  A picnic is held in August.  We meet at noon and bring a sack lunch.  Most months we have cake to help a member celebrate a birthday.

Please check our Church Calendar pages to see when the next meeting is.
